Organization

Since 1951, the Deutscher Krebskongress (German Cancer Congress) has been organized by the Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft (German Cancer Society). In 2026, the event will be hosted by both the Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft (German Cancer Society) and the Stiftung Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid) for the 7th time. Both institutions are bringing their experts and expertise, along with many other relevant specialists in this multifaceted and complex field of oncological patient care, to the congress.

Call for abstracts and case studies

The Congress Presidium is calling for abstracts in 43 abstract categories. In addition, “The special case” case studies can be submitted for the first time at a German Cancer Congress via a separate submission channel. The submission period starts on May 7, 2025 and ends on August 27, 2025. Submission is only possible online via this website.

Reviewers will then decide on acceptance. Accepted abstracts will complement the congress program in the form of best-of presentations in a scientific session, oral presentation (sience slam) or as e-posters. In addition, all accepted abstracts and case studies will be published in a digital abstract volume and in the congress app. The submitters of the best abstracts will have the chance to present their research data in a 100-second video. The video will be filmed at the congress and published on the same day for both congress participants and the wider professional public via our media partners.
